For nearly 20 years, Metro Music Makers has helped students of all ages grow through personalized private music lessons and board-certified music therapy across the Atlanta and Charlotte metro areas.
At Metro Music Makers, one question guides nearly everything we do:
How can we make the experience even better for our students and families?
If you’ve been following along, you know I recently started jazz piano lessons. After decades of classical training, learning to think and play in a completely different way has been both exciting and humbling. It’s also reminded me of something I’ve believed throughout my career: there’s always another opportunity to learn, grow, and improve.
That same mindset has shaped much of our work behind the scenes this summer.
Looking at Music Education Through a Fresh Lens
Last year, I completed my MBA, and while I certainly learned a great deal about business, one lesson stood out above the rest. The best organizations never stop asking how they can better serve the people who place their trust in them.
For us, that has meant taking a thoughtful look at every aspect of the Metro Music Makers experience.
We’ve spent the summer discussing lesson experiences, scheduling, communication, music therapy services, and new ways to support student progress. Some of these ideas will result in improvements behind the scenes. Others will become new opportunities for the families we serve.
Not every idea becomes reality, and not every enhancement will apply to every student. But every conversation begins with the same question:
Will this create a better experience for our students, families, and teachers?
If the answer is yes, it’s worth exploring.
Celebrating Nearly Two Decades of Serving Families
Next March, Metro Music Makers will celebrate 20 years since incorporating, and we’re incredibly grateful for every family who has trusted us to be part of their musical journey.
Whether a student is learning their very first notes, preparing for auditions, exploring songwriting, or receiving music therapy services, our goal has always been the same: to create meaningful musical experiences that inspire confidence, creativity, and connection.
As we head into the fall, we’ll begin sharing some of what we’ve been working on behind the scenes. Every update is designed with one goal in mind: creating an even better experience for our students, families, and teachers.
