Justin has taught private lessons for five years on several instruments, including guitar, drums, bass guitar, and piano. He teaches across several genres, but his style leans heavily into rock/heavy metal-oriented music with a splash of jazz and fusion.
Justin believes in encouraging his students to play what they enjoy listening to and would like to learn, while also showing them the music theory and technique behind the composition. “I want to encourage others to follow their dreams in achieving their goals with their desired instrument, along with the mental benefits that come with it,” he shares.
Seeing his younger students happy with their performances in recitals is one of the highlights of teaching for Justin, as well as seeing their parents enjoying watching them perform.
If Justin could encourage his students with one thing, it would be, “Be honest with yourself, and be willing to put the time and effort into what you want. Nothing comes incredibly easy, and that includes learning an instrument!
Justin spends his free time playing video games, and he also enjoys reading both fiction and non-fiction books, as well as comics.
