Metro Music Makers is growing and is actively seeking musicians, music educators, and music therapists who want to make a meaningful impact through music.
We provide music instruction and music therapy services across the Atlanta and Charlotte areas and offer flexible, paid teaching opportunities for both experienced professionals and music students preparing for their careers. Our team is built around collaboration, growth, and high-quality instruction.
We are especially interested in piano instructors, with additional needs for guitar, voice, violin, drum teachers, and qualified music therapists.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking musicians who:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or certification in music or are currently pursuing one
- Are music performance or music education majors, or board-certified music therapists
- Are enthusiastic, encouraging, and student-focused
- Are dedicated to teaching and their students’ growth
- Are reliable, professional, and organized
Opportunities are available for musicians located in or near Atlanta, GA, and Charlotte, NC.
Technology Requirements:
- Ability to use our scheduling and communication platforms
- Availability to attend occasional online meetings
- Ability to teach occasional virtual lessons or make-up sessions
- Access to a computer, reliable internet connection, and instrument
Screening Requirements:
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, as required for working with children

Paid Teaching Practicum for Senior Music Students
Metro Music Makers offers a paid teaching practicum for senior-year music students who are interested in gaining hands-on teaching experience while working as independent contractors.
Participants are contracted to teach a limited number of lessons, receive mentorship and feedback, and gain real-world experience working with students and families.
Musicians who successfully complete the practicum may be considered for future independent contractor teaching opportunities with Metro Music Makers as needs arise.
