Thirteen-year-old Rini is studying piano and voice with senior instructor Aria Taboada. Aria sat down with Rini recently and got to know her a little better so we could share her with you!
Why did you choose to study piano?
“I like piano because it’s very versatile. You can play lots of different genres on it!”
What kind of music do you like to listen to? Who’s your favorite band or musician?
“I listen to mainly pop. My favorite band is Pentatonix.”
What do you love about music?
“It’s a way for me to express myself.”
What do you like to do when you’re not playing music?
“I like to bullet journal.”
Do you play any sports or do any other activities outside of music lessons?
“I do Tae Kwon Do.”
What’s your proudest accomplishment so far in life?
“I went to All-State Chorus last year!”
What’s your favorite TV show or movie?
“Shadow Hunters“
What’s your favorite food? Favorite candy?
“My favorite food is mac and cheese. My favorite candy is Kit Kats.”
What’s your favorite subject in school?
“I like math.”
If you were going to be on a reality TV show, would you rather be on American Idol, The Voice, orAmerica’s Got Talent? Why?
“Americas Got Talent because it has more a variety, so it would be a much bigger feat to make it.”
What do you want to be when you grow up?
“I haven’t decided yet. I will leave that to the future.”
What else would you like to tell us about yourself?
“I am very extroverted. I can have a conversation with anyone!”
