Jensen Plachy is nine years old and has been studying guitar for a year with Metro Music Makers. His instructor Monique Osorio recently interviewed him for our Student Spotlight series.
Why did you choose to study guitar?
“I like it because guitars have cool sounds.”
What kind of music do you like to listen to? Who’s your favorite band or musician?
“I like the song ‘Sweet Dreams Are Made of This. “
What do you love about music?
“I like that there are many cool and different instruments.”
What do you like to do when you’re not playing music?
“I like hanging out with friends!”
Do you play any sports or do any other activities outside of music lessons?
“I do gymnastics.”
What’s your proudest accomplishment so far in life?
“That I have a really cool family.”
What’s your favorite movie or TV show?
“Star Wars.”
What’s your favorite candy?
“Swedish fish.”
What’s your favorite subject in school?
“P.E.”
What do you want to be when you grow up?
“A gymnast!”

“I love to play video games—any kind!”
